About us

Liz started out at the BBC where she worked for six years in News on Radio 4 and 5 Live, writing scripts, researching stories, and producing live news.  She went freelance in 1997 to work on a wider range of programmes including the Breakfast Show at LBC Radio and Parkinson's Sunday Supplement on Radio 2. After several years of working 12 hour shifts, often at night, suddenly radio didn’t seem so clever and the world of PR beckoned.

Her career in PR has taken her from small charities to a big blue chip charity, from local government organisations to a grantmaking foundation.  She has an insider’s view of the media and how to get coverage, combined with sharp copywriting skills learned writing live radio scripts. She can deal with pressure and takes care to make sure things are accurate.

She's produced lots of annual reports, newsletters and brochures. She's run loads of events – everything from conferences with cabinet ministers to a kids' party in Kilburn to open a toy library. She's done websites, enewsletters, staff newsletters, direct mail, managed re-brandings and run campaigns.

In short, she's a great all-rounder, focused on getting results and getting them fast.

"Liz managed the re-branding of the foundation. She's strategic as well as good at the hands-on stuff, such as copywriting. She's also down to earth and great to work with."

James Wragg, Director of Resources, Esmée Fairbairn Foundation
